Winter Music Conference, Ultra Music Festival announce 2011 dates

March in Miami traditionally means electronic music in Miami, and 2011 will be no different. Both the Winter Music Conference and its accompanying weekend extravaganza, the Ultra Music Festival, have announced their 2011 details, but unlike in year’s past, the two events won’t take place during the same week. Surprisingly, the South by Southwest-styled WMC will launch two weeks earlier than usual, as this year’s event will run March 8-12. Ultra, on the other hand, will remain as its usual end-of-March time frame but will be expanded to three days, with this year’s dates set for March 25-27. Lineups for both events are still forthcoming, but already Crystal Castles have independently confirmed their appearance at Ultra. Stay tuned to our Festival Outlook for more updates.
